To motivate patients, friends, family and the medical community to join in advocacy and raising of awareness in hopes of finding the causation and cure of Achalasia.

The Achalasia Awareness Organization (AAO) is a grassroots movement created to raise awareness about Achalasia, a rare, incurable and progressive esophageal motility disease. AAO works with Thoracic Surgeons, GI Specialists, and the media in their awareness campaign.
